THE JAY AND I.

My girl, Sally, has been staying with me for the weekend which has been awesome!
It's been about 3 years since we've seen each other, we met in a bar in NY when I was living there and it was super fun to play tour guide for the weekend.
Showing her all the places I was so excited about when I first arrived in LA was kinda weird and I'm definitely no expert on the city but we had a blast!
Today topped it all off beauitfully, I met the percussionist that tours with Rod Stewart the other week and he invited me to the taping of the band, on The Jay Leno show at NBC today.
So, not only did we go, but we sat front row and went backstage afterwards.
Pretty rad!
Although, I must admit I hate being told when to laugh and when to clap!
Bit like being a perfoming seal I guess..!
Sunday, I shot a Doritos commercial which was pretty funny.
The aim is to get it on during Superbowl, the ad space is something ridiculous like $1M so the exposure would be priceless...!
Once I have the final cut, I'll post it on here.
Hope everyone had as wonderful a weekend as I did!

Calling on the JOB fairies!

Since the house luck has run in twos and we are no longer professional couch surfers..
Do you think you could send me over the job fairies from the East Coast and maybe throw in a hot Top Shop jacket or two, if they can carry them.?
Auditioning and interviewing like a busy little bee this week.
Eyes are firmly on the prize!
My friend Sally is coming to stay with me this weekend from NYC.
Maybe she will bring me some of that East Coast Lovin'!
xx

ME TOO!!!!!!

I guess the luck is running in two's for us crazy cats...

I found a new home too!! Have spent the last couple of weeks couchsurfing from Erin's in East Village, to Shelley's in Williamsburg and now in Soho @ Mike's place..

Signing our lease tomorrow and then can start moving in over the w/end.. yew!

I'll have to post some pics once I'm in there...

I FINALLY HAVE A HOME!

It's been a month since I moved out of my place in Silverlake and since then, I have been staying with my beautiful and amazingly generous friend, Natalia. God bless her!
But, I'm proud to say, I finally now have my own place-right down the hall from her!
I've never lived alone but since there are 4 of my girlfriends in the same block it's really more of a dorm than a one bedroom.
I'm now in the heart of Hollywood, in all its glory. I can see Capitol Records from my front door step and I'm really enjoying exploring my new neighbourhood.
On Sundays you can walk down the road to the Farmers Markets and buy fresh produce from locals and the girls and I have been making dinner parties in our block a twice weekly affair, at least!
The apartment was built in 1923 and is one of the oldest in L.A. It was home to author, Nathanael West while he wrote his screenplays and his most famous novel, The Day of the Locust.
Now my focus is on finding a J.O.B! I have an agent though and have been auditioning pretty regularly.
I also still write for the online Aussie magazine, Kluster. If you haven't checked it out, you must do it NOW!

I've mostly been covering all the artistically talented and creative people I have become friends with in LA and am now working on my tickets for the Grizzly Bear show!
The weather here is getting cooler quickly, which has been a nice change to sweating it out at 100F every day! And Halloween is right around the corner. Can't wait to get my freak on here.. Americans sure know how to celebrate (milk) a holiday!

You had my heart when I purchased the black turkey feather jacket by Kate Moss a year or so back.. and you keep making my heart skip a beat with each new collection!

Still on the house hunt.. so depressing.. it's cold too...
