So, after having the tour cut short by a week and a bit, we are now back home, in LA. Back to normal life. Well, what is normal life really? Just back to some sort of normality, ie not waking up in a new state or city everyday. Which we actually got pretty used to after a while. Almost tired of, which is kinda weird.
Alicia is now contemplating the big move to NYC to con
quer the marketing industry but I am staying put in LA to follow my life long acting dreams and discover more of the city, as I finally have my own house and no longer have to live out of suitcases on friends floors! What a wonderful feeling.
Last night we went to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, final resting place of Charlie Chaplin Jnr and Victor Fleming, famed director of 'The Wizard of Oz' and 'Gone with the Wind'. They screen old school films here during the Summer and a DJ plays. Last night was 'The Wicker Man', the 1973 version. It's a UK cult classic, centering on the disappearance of a teenage girl and the discovery of a pagan cult amongst society. What a trip thi
s film was! Many awkward moments, one in particular, where a guy and a girl were seducing one another through a wall and another that slugs were mating in...?? weird but so funny! It was a really nice night in LA and it's always cool to watch a movie outside, with a bunch of strangers. Reminded me of the Moonlight cinemas back home. Perfect way to spend Sunday Funday!
A scene from the film.
